Policies

Here at Smith Learning Services try not to bog down our clients with policies. We like things straight forward. I have highlighted our cancellation and no show policy below as this is the most common.

Cancellation and No Show Policy:  

 

This Policy applies to the following services:

 

- Online Tutoring

- Academic Coaching

- Educational Consultant

- Career Coaching 

- Life Coaching

The Client may cancel a prepaid session up to 4 hours before the scheduled time for reasons of a family emergency or sickness and receive a refund or apply any pre‐payment to a future session.  Non-prepaid sessions require 24 hours before the scheduled session to not be penalized, this includes consultation no shows. Lessons not attended for any other reason by the Client without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor or Smith Learning Services will be charged at the full rate.  Consultation appointments with No Show and No Notice will be required to pay a $40 no show fee if there is no advanced 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling notice. If the Tutor cancels a session for any reason and at any time prior to the start of the session, Smith Learning Services agrees to refund the client any pre‐payment for that session or to apply that payment to a future session that the Tutor and Client agree upon. Services may end at any time the student requests to stop receiving services. The student is not tied to any session amount obligation. All invoices must be paid in full before ceasing of communication from Smith Learning Services, LLC.
