Creating Access to Successful Employment
Smith Learning Services is proud to offer FREE Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to help students with disabilities prepare for life after high school — including work, further education, and independence.
Who is eligible?
These services are free for students who:

Are currently enrolled in school

Are between 14 and 21 years old

Have a documented disability of any kind (such as a 504 Plan, IEP, ADHD, Autism, a physical disability, or doctor documentation)

Work Based Learning
"We connect what students learn in school to real-life experiences."
Examples: finding internships, job shadowing, or volunteer opportunities; building a resume; practicing for job interviews.

Career Exploration
"We help students discover what careers might be a good fit for them."
Examples: career interest assessments; exploring different career paths, both traditional and non-traditional.

Postsecondary Counseling
"We help students understand their options after high school."
Examples: information on courses, career options, and the training needed to succeed in the workplace.
